چکیده
Optimization using finite element analysis and the adjoint variable method to solve engineering problems appears in various application areas. However, best of authors’ knowledge, there is a lack detailed explanation on implementation context electromagnetic modeling. This paper aimed provide simplest possible general framework. Then, an extended offered electromagnetism. A discrete design methodology based variables for magnetostatics was formulated, implemented, verified. comprehensive supports both linear nonlinear problems. The framework provides approach performing very efficient discretely consistent sensitivity involving geometric physical or any combination two. accuracy demonstrated by independent verification analytical test case finite-difference method. used optimize parameters superconducting energy storage device magnet press optimization topology electromagnet. objective function each problem successfully decreased, all constraints stipulated were met.

The Adjoint Variable Method for the Sensitivity Analysis of Multibody
Extended Abstract The multibody system approach is widely used for analyzing the dynamic behavior of mechanical systems with large motions, and several programs are available for this task 1]. But there is still a lack of tools for synthesizing nonlinear dynamic systems systematically. This synthesis requires an optimal choice of the system parameters with respect to a given performance measure...
متن کاملDistributed Computational Electromagnetics Systems
We describe our development of a \real world" electromagnetic application on distributed computing systems. A computational electromagnetics (CEM) simulation for radar crosssection(RCS) modeling of full scale airborne systems has been ported to three networked workstation cluster systems: an IBM RS/6000 cluster with Ethernet connection; a DEC Alpha farm connected by a FDDI-based Gigaswitch; and...
